Our all-conquering Debating Team continued its winning streak by winning the prestigious Lilian Nixon Memorial Challenge Shield 2024, organised by Ladies’ College, beating Royal College in the final. This was the team’s third successive victory in a major tournament, after winning the Sri Lanka School Debating Championship and Royal College tournament in the weeks before. Savith Wijesundara won the coveted Best Speaker award with Okitha Karunadhara ranked 4 th and Harish Sivagananathan 15 th .
