Moir Wins Robogames at University of Moratuwa Again

Robogames, organised by the Institution of Engineers and the University of Moratuwa, is one of the two main Robotics competitions in Sri Lanka. This year, our students entered individually and eight were among the sixteen qualifiers. Dihein Labuna Hewage, Sandilu Munasinghe and Viresh Wijesinghe reached the final eight and Dihein emerged as the champion, winning a Rs. 100,000 prize and retaining the trophy a Moir team won in 2025.

The other main Robotics event is the Sri Lanka Robotics Challenge, also organised by the University of Moratuwa. 60 teams from around the island entered and sixteen reached the finals including Moir Robotics, consisting of six Moir students, and Dihein, competing on his own. Moir Robotics finished in 2 nd place but an unfortunate error in the quarter-finals prevented Dihein finishing on the podium.
