Congratulations to our Under 12 Boys and Girls’ Football teams who both reached the semi-finals of their Inter-International Schools tournaments.
The Girls qualified for the Semi-Final after defeating Lyceum, Panadura 3-0, with 2 goals from Saneli and one from Szofi, and beating CIS 1-0, through another goal by Saneli. They drew 1-1 with eventual champions Stafford in the Semi-Final but were very unlucky to go out on penalties.
Goals by Sai and Kai helped the Boys win their opening match against Lyceum, Wattala 2-1. Draws against CIS and Gateway, Kandy took them through to the Quarter-Finals, where they defeated Lyceum, Nugegoda on penalties. They lost a close Semi-Final 1-0 to Lyceum, Ratnapura. Both teams showed lots of skills and determination. Captains Saneli and Yuvan can be proud of all their players.
