The brilliant results of last year’s Form 5 & Upper 6 th students in their IGCSE and A Level students were celebrated at the Pearson Edexcel High Achievers’ Awards Ceremony at BMICH in November. A school record 15 students received awards for achieving 8 or more 9s. This included nine students with 9 or more 9s, more than all the other schools in Sri Lanka combined in the May / June 2025 exams.
Fourteen students won awards for achieving 3 or more As at A Level, including four with 4 As. This was far more than from any other school, including those with multiple branches.
Minara Nanayakkara won the award for the Highest Mark in the World in A Level Economics after scoring 100%. Vinuri Gunaatne, Amaya Perera and Dhiya Vairavanathan won awards for Literature, Geography and Art respectively, reflecting Moir’s reputation for excellence in Arts subjects.
At IGCCE, Nirvaan Kanag-Isvaran and Aleeza Salie shared the award for the Highest Mark in the World in International GCSE History, with Aleeza also winning the award for the Highest Mark in Sri Lanka in Computer Science.
