COMBOS Swimming

Congratulations to our swimmers, led by Captains Vidul and Zaid, who won 28 medals in individual events at the COMBOS Swimming meet in September, as well as medals in seven out of eight relays. Aarya, Aheli and Okitha won Golds in both their individual events and Carter, Ruthsaara, Danudi and Ritu all won one Gold. Although overall winners were not announced, we calculate that we would have finished second overall, despite having fewer students to choose from than the other schools, especially in the younger age groups.

Our Under-16 Girls’ team of Aheli, Amendi, Danudi and Ruthsaara won both the Freestyle and Medley Relays comfortably. The highlight of the meet was two incredibly tight finishes in the Over 16 Boys’ Freestyle and Medley Relays. Okitha, Seth, Vidul and Viresh were neck and neck with a strong team from Stafford, including three national swimmers, throughout both races and both ended in photo finishes.
