Tharul Senanayake has been offered a place at Yale University with financial aid worth over $100,000 per year, covering the full cost of tuition, accommodation, food and travel. Yale is the second oldest Ivy League college, currently ranked 10 th in the world by The Times Higher Education World University Rankings.
Tharul is a top student who achieved nine 9s in his IGCSEs and is excelling in Further Maths and Computer Science at A Level. He stood out for his contribution to our Robotics team. He represented Sri Lanka in the FIRST Global Challenge two years running, in Athens and Panama, and won a Gold Medal for Engineering Design after winning the Zhang Heng Award.
Tharul received his place after applying for Early Decision. Most offers from US universities will come at the start of April.
